Abiodun made this call when he received the Acting Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Dauda Biu, in his Oke Mosan, Abeokuta office. He noted that it is important to have a good traffic management on the Long Bridge/Kara corridor at a time construction work has slowed down as a result of the inability of the contractor to complete the work. Breaking: Abiodun Approves 300m For Ogun LGs

Following heated controversies generated by the allegation of monthly allocation deduction, the Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the sum of 300 million naira for the 20 local governments in the state. An online news  platform, Gateway  Times had few days back punctured the report by the state government that it was augmenting the monthly allocation of local governments in the state, rather than deducting it. Previously, sources revealed that each LG chairman only received a paltry sum of #2.5m monthly when Gov Abiodun came on board as Security Votes, but was later increased to N3m following a protest by the Council chairmen. It could be recalled that council Chairmen are to release N300,000.00 to the LG Vice-Chairmen. While a sum of N350, 000 are again deducted for ‘Abeokuta’. Pension: Ogun Insists N78bn Pension And Gratuity Paid

Oloyede during a press conference in Abeokuta, said that the incumbent administration in the state did not pay N70b for the defray of outstanding gratuities, but N3billion, which he claimed was too low. But a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Ogun State governor, Kunle Somorin, on Thursday, faulted the position of the NUC chairman and declared that a sum of N78b had been released between 2019 and 2022.
