The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on the people of the state to take advantage of the period introduced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to collect their Permanent Voter's Card, noting that "your PVCs are their voices". Abiodun made this call during the State Christmas Carol and Service of Nine Lessons held at the Arcade Ground of the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has issued an Executive Order establishing the Ogun State Social Investment Programme. While signing the Order in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Gov. Abiodun said that it would help to alleviate poverty and hunger by ensuring equitable distribution of resources to the vulnerable, the poor and the widows, amongst others. The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, warned Baales who are yet to register with the state government to desist from parading themselves as legitimate or face the consequences. Governor Abiodun who made this known during the 5th Oko Ilu Day Celebration of the Ogun State Council of Baales, held in Abeokuta, noted that his administration would continue to see those who are yet to register as illegitimate Baales. " I heard there are 1,700 Baales that are registered in the state. I also heard that there are still over 1,700 yet to be registered.
